Over 200 self-governing, self-supporting and model Christian churches exist because of the evangelistic efforts of our team. These churches are situated among 18 different tribal groups in northern Thailand and Myanmar. Due to the communist government in Laos, the churches meet on the Thai side of the border.
The sponsored evangelists spend many months in specific villages meeting the physical and spiritual needs of the people before a church building is constructed. Many church buildings are constructed by short-term teams from the U.S. and Canada.
Pastors and church leaders receive annual Bible and leadership training at the Kalnin Leadership Center (KLC). This keeps them accountable doctrinally, encourages and assists them with the spiritual formation of their congregations.

Four new churches were planted last year in Mae Chaem district: Faktong village, Pakhae village, Samorja village, and Hui Pa Kut village. There was evangelism every month in ten animist (spirit-worshipping) Karen villages. A church was also planted at Sagaing (near Mandalay's second largest city in Myanmar).
Church planting began by visiting, sharing Bible verses, teaching the children through songs and games, treating the sick and sharing testimonies with the families of the children in our Christian school and dormitories. These villages are now very interested in becoming Christians, and they are hungry for the Good News. One spirit doctor became a Christian in Pakhae. In Hui Pa Kut, one non-Christian man donated five rai (about two acres) for a church building in that village. This is amazing and all of this could only be done through the power of prayer!
