
On this plantation, there are 960 rubber trees that will produce sap in two more years. In 2010 rice was also planted, and the rice crop was sufficient for six months for many people.
A small house, for one family to live in and care for, on the rubber plantation where a vegetable garden or rice could be planted on the land.
In January 2010, we held the first sewing and Bible camp in Chiang Kham for 22 Mien ladies. Many were not Christians. They were very encouraged by the teaching and were interested in the Bible for the first time. Two Mien ladies dedicated themselves to the Lord and are now studying the Bible with Yingmuay and teaching Sunday School to the children in their villages.
In October 2010, we held a Bible camp where we taught reading and writing in the Mien language to the women. Five came to the Lord from this camp.
In January 2011, we held the second sewing and Bible camp. Some 25 Mien ladies came from five villages in Thailand, and one from communist Laos. Most were not Christians. After the camp they wanted to become Christians. An evangelist will train one leader from each village in Bible and sewing so they can return to their village to teach the others.
One evangelist's house in Chiang Kham has become a center for Bible training and sewing for the Mien people. Eight treadle sewing machines were sent to different villages with the ladies. Two of the larger sewing machines are used at this evangelist's house for sewing projects.
In February 2011, 298 Mien women from all over Thailand and Laos attended the Ladies Bible Seminar. The seminar was the largest ever gathering of Mien women in Thailand. This seminar encouraged, challenged, and revived these women spiritually.
In April 2011, Mien people from all over Thailand and Laos attended youth and family camps.
In May 2011, a third Bible and sewing camp at Chiang Kham saw the attendance of eight Mien women for the first time along with many from Thailand. Sewing machines will be sent back into communist Laos with the Mien ladies from Laos.
The tribal women have made 50 or more jewelry bags and 90 shoe bags. To be sold, these bags were taken back to the USA from three separate missionary trips. Besides jewelry and shoe bags, sewing clothes for guests and local people were sown.

Animals:
We have cattle, pigs, and chickens on the Agriculture Development Center land (ADC).
Vegetables and crops:
Last year, we grew vegetables such as water spinach, pumpkins, mustard leaves, black beans, corn and ground nuts. We also rented some land for rice and will continue to grow vegetables, ground nuts, and beans.
