Over the years, we have constructed nineteen clean drinking water systems for entire villages with the help of short-term teams. Developing good relationships with the people, the teams also trained the villagers in construction. Not only has the health of the villagers improved but many have become Christians through this compassionate outreach.
Another successful long-term development project is crop substitution. Instead of cultivating labour intensive, socially dangerous (and illegal) opium poppies, Christian villages in the mountains of Thailand grow coffee, soya beans, ginger, tea, lynches, mangos, oranges, and grapefruit for local markets.

Also, FLC-sponsored textile projects bring in needed income for women. In addition, a sawmill project in northern Myanmar supplies lumber and income for the Bible school students in that area.
